Clothes were a means of displaying how wealthy a person was. Rich people could afford clothing made of fine wool, linen or silk. Their clothes were decorated with jewels and embroidered with gold thread.
Men wore knee length tunics, elaborately trimmed with brocades and braid, with hose or breeches. Over this, they would have worn a luxurious cloak.
To make my costumes more child-friendly, I have used poly cotton fabrics and machine washable crushed velvet for the cloak. would not be comfortable to play in.
You have the option of purchasing the complete outfit (£35) or the tunic only (£12.50)
