Anglo-Saxons and Vikings made their own clothes out of natural materials. The styles were pretty much the same. The men wore long-sleeved, braided tunics made of wool or linen. Their checked trousers were woolen ( mine are polyester) and, held up by a leather belt from which they could also hang tools such as knives and pouches. I have added a faux fur collar, fastened with a pennanula, as they would have draped animal skins across their shoulders.
