Description
During the Iron Age, the Ancient Britons (referred to as the Celts) wore a warm, usually checked wrap, woven from wool that had been dyed with natural dyes and secured with a cloak pin, over a linen tunic and checked braies.
I have used poly cotton for my tunics as this is an easy care fabric. Wraps are made from checked fleece fabric that resembles wool, fastened with a metal brooch. This is easy to wash and much quicker to dry than pure wool.
